Wen Marketplace?

Working on testnet, etc. — waiting for Moneta upgrade on Juno, which is dependent on CosmWasm 1.0 release, Nov/Dec

Partnership w Juno?

—not technically a partnership: though we are working synergistically with their team, Juno is a decentralized blockchain that SC is building on top of

—we are finding ways to collaborate with the Juno community [great team, large community pool]

—Need Validators?

—likely that SC token will launch on JUNO chain

—but also looking to put the game on its own chain as well

Scaling Team:

Started with 8 employees (core team): onboarding infrastructure and content people/teams (some folks from AAA game teams) — core team been building for 2 years

Core team growing to 12-15 within the next couple of months

Gameplay:

p2e? yes. we all want to make money doing something fun

people coming into ecosystems add value—who will get it? Blizzard/Epic, or will community share the value — ethos: team only takes as much value as it needs to keep creating, community shares the rest

rare vs. common NFTs in gameplay: every character will let you participate in fully realized ways

1 character might be able to run a store as an NPC

the more characters you have, the more roles you can take (rarity won't affect gameplay—but it might affect how much you can sell it for)

will we be able to improve rarity of NFTs by gameplay?

2 value structures: 1) invest in gameplay 2) invest in a defi way

—users who come in after genesis will still be able to enter gameplay, and will be able to enjoy the game without owning land / running a shop, won't make as much money probably

—still looking for ways gameplay could potentially affect NFT, but without turning it into pay to win, dumping lots of money in to become OP

Land: the first 10000 characters will have unique access to claiming land (in game only): mechanic not set yet, but the first land will be free to claim — roughly, not set in stone, everyone will be set loose in an initial landgrab and able to complete some quests to claim land (not an auction or a sale)

What will land be used for?

—getting involved with the in-game economy

-an extension of defi play, trading

—creative gameplay

—hosting social events (either public or with some privacy controls

PvP?

3 main things: farm, craft, quest

-so yes, beyond towns there will be dungeons and story opportunities, maybe like campaigns in Destiny or World of Warcraft, beat bosses, would vary according to seasons of the story, very connected to the developing plotline of the story

-want people to have access to both competitive and collaborative / farming gameplay

Will the first 5000 characters always be special?

—mild distinctions bt Town 1 and Town 2, and HUGE distinctions bt all 10000 genesis characters and any characters to follow

—Town 1 will be able to get in a little earlier on some things as well

—earlier farming opportunities and 2 Passage token drops (vs. 1)

Diverse In-Game Environments?

Yes. Will likely start landlocked, and will explore outwards into different biomes

-start with solid core experience and build from there

Will some classes/skills be more valuable than others?

—don't want NFT you got to dictate your playstyle too much — want players to have flexibility

—e.g. in Divinity, you have to make a lot of choices that affect you, but also like Runescape, get good at what your character is good at

Passage Token / World System:

—trying to develop this without rushing the tokenomics

—building immersive worlds for SC and other games and corporations

—building relationships with people with large followings

—growing the infrastructure for a metaverse one world at a time

—looking to create a sort of Passage SDK, where anyone can easily spin up a world within the Passage Metaverse—would probably require some amount of Passage Tokens

-the tokens could also allow access to different tiers of experience, events, etc.

—Can Strange Clan be as high end as Oasis from Ready Player One?

—if we start that high-end, no one will have the hardware to run it

—but SC striving for low barriers to entry, inclusionary, VR setup not necessary

VR upgrade is part of the roadmap, though

Connecting to the rest of the Metaverse?

—not a huge fan of 'The Metaverse' — there won't just be one

—we need interoperability, and Passage is developing interoperable tools for connected worlds: tools for identity, relationships, and assets

—if people integrate IBC, they will be able to connect using the standards that Passage creates/helps create

Governance w Passage Token?

Probably, but still working it out

YAWP token as proof of being early?

—interesting, maybe

NFT Marketplace:

-initially this will be curated, but it will grow

-you can already make Cosmos Nfts on Uptick on Iris, but you can't do much with them yet

—each world/chain will determine through its own governance what NFTs are allowed to be use in their worlds

—3d assets will eventually be available in the marketplace as well (you will also always have access to the 2d version: both will be data attached to the NFT)

-World is 3d — the NFTs are 2d right now, but your character in-game will be 3d

—Algorithmic NFT Trading?

—working with some teams re: AI market-making

—thinking about fractionalizing

—first priority: make the SC NFTs valuable—then other cool NFT features (will be developed through partnerships, rather than in-house)

—3d NFTs coming, a unique value prop
