tl;dr

-Concentrated Liquidity: back-end on track for end of February

-Front-end may take a little longer

-UX will be better for retail users than any other CL project

-limited full-range incentives

-actively managed vaults (Quasar, Astroport)

-Astroport developing Curve v2-style auto-rebalancing around TWAP

-intuitive UI for advanced users to set their own ranges

-tools like Hummingbot for professional market-makers

-Incentives/fees will be structured to reward used liquidity that has been on the DEX for a certain amount of time

-no more bonding liquidity (doesn’t work for NFT LP positions)

-rewarding based on certain minimum time on the DEX fights against just-in-time (JIT) liquidity frontrunning & ensures stickier liquidity and stabler, more certain pricing over time **

-Cross-chain swaps: uses IBC metadata forwarding to bundle a set of transactions together so that, e.g. a user could make one transaction on Juno chain that would send JUNO to Osmosis, swap it for USDC, and send it back

-further cross-chain swap functionality is being worked on through Axelar’s general message-passing protocol, which might allow someone to get from Ethereum ETH to USDC on dy/dx in a single tx

-Axelar can now bridge non-wrapped assets: e.g. ETH can be sent instead of WETH, BNB instead of WBNB (converted on the backend)

-AVAX added to the Osmosis front-end

-Mars Red Bank Outpost launching, Feb. 07

-Osmosis proposals coming soon:

  1. whitelist Mars to upload contracts

  2. incentivize the lending pools with 309K OSMO

-Regen finishing its bridge to Polygon, allowing a Cosmos carbon market to be installed on Osmosis, featuring the (Nature Carbon Tonne) NCT, as agreed in Prop 182

-for background on NCTs and the proposal, see this UftL recap

-NCT/OSMO will have substantial REGEN incentives, from the 1.4m REGEN grant to Osmosis that is in the Osmosis Community Pool
